Kisses he longed to bestow her,

Lightly on porcelain skin.

No mortal woman would please him,

For their lives are full of sin.

Garlands of flowers adorn her,

Upon shoulders so smooth and so fair.

Complimenting her poise and her figure,

Though as lovely did she appear bare.

He prayed to the goddess Venus,

To grant him just this one wish.

For a woman like his ivory girl,

Beautiful, true, and unselfish.

Leaning to his ivory statue,

He kissed her upon the arm.

But warm was the stone of her skin,

So he backed up in alarm.

Pressing again his lips to her,

And touching her breast with his hand,

Away melted the cold stone,

Just as Venus had planned.

Awestruck was he by this miracle,

His ivory girl came to life.

Modest and blushing and beautiful,

Was she, his soon to be wife.

Venus attended their wedding,

What a lovely day it was.

And 9 months later they gave birth,

To their baby boy, Paphos.

Watch out.

The water’s deep.

So hang on to that dream.

Don’t let it drop.

Cause once ya drop it,

All that’s left,

Is a wet dream.
