The Perfect Country

The Perfect Country

So everyone thinks

The country that thrives on reality TV

Living their lives through someone else’s eyes

Instead of living their own pathetic little lives

I live in the perfect country

A country that flourishes on sex, money and drugs

Everything corrupt

Politicians politely smilin’ in yo face by day,

Spittin’ lies like

Hi, I’m John Doe,

I really want to make a difference in our society

Vote for me and I’ll add to the better well being of our community.

Child please.

That’s them good ol’ politicians for ya

Always wantin’ to do good for the people

Hidin’ in their freaky, filthy little closets by night

Disgracin’ their whole political race,

The perfect country to be the head of worldly affairs.

The Christian founded country

Boy have we come a long way.

For a country to based upon Christianity

Nothin’ quite seems right

A genuine utopian society

People runnin’ around shootin’ people in the back

Parents burying their children

Thinking it wasn’t right

It wasn’t supposed to be this way

It is simply time to face the facts

The perfect country

Always wiling to lend a helping hand

But failing to understand

There are people living homeless,

No shelter, no food, no family or friends to turn to,

On your own homeland

Please tell what geniuses are making these plans

All these people you help, please tell me what is your motive?

Does it come from the goodness of your heart?

I think not.

Maybe one day this country could do better

Oh, but wait!

How can you teach the children of tomorrow to come together,

when the government is swindling all the cheddar.

Apparently, everyone needs a satisfactory education,

but when it comes to money for the children their are no reparations.

You teach lessons of non-violence and peace.

Well stop talkin’ about it and get to bein’ about it.

Show somethin’ else on tv,

besides a war of people fightin’, runnin’, duckin’, and dyin’.

Children hearin’ bad news of their parents dyin’.

They’ll never see them again and now they cryin’.

You say it’ll make everything okay.

Now’s the time to stop lyin’.

Fall Fall is out to get me.Its crisp winds coldly grasp my hands

As if I were an abandoned child. His rustling leaves laugh at me as they dance around me.

Teasing me,

Tormenting me with their cackling sounds

Fall, the worst time of year with his sweet air

Warm inviting colors,

Tempting me and luring me to do the unspeakable.  Fall, he loves me and leaves me with the entrance of winter’s grace.

You throw me up in the air
only to let me down.
Through many highs and lows,
I am in love.
So, I think it’s love. There is a reason for everything.
God sent you to me,
be you a gift or a curse.
Most of the time I love you,
and wish you were here with me
day in and day out.

Days
Days when I’m fed up with you
You’re the first one on my hit list,
the weakest link on my love train, and days when,
you’d be the first one I’d throw off the face of my Earth..

Family tells me that he’s NO good.
Friends tell me he’s ALL good for me, but I misunderstood.
Caught in a struggle

A war between war and peace

A war of mind and heart

Which road am I to take?

Am I to stay or should we just grow apart?

I’m confused

I loved you from the start

Or is this a mistake?

I know you are not the one for me.

You are the honey used to sweeten my tea.

To add a little spice to my plain Jane life.

Only when I am completely seasoned and primed

will I be ready to find that special someone for me.
